About Mr. Johnson

My name is Matthew Johnson. I am in my fourth year of being the physical education teacher at Academy School. I teach P.E. because I love being active and encouraging others to lead healthy and active lives. Teaching elementary children bring such a joy and energy to my life. I couldn't be happier doing any other job and working at any other school.

In P.E. students learn valuable skills while keeping their bodies moving and having fun.  We have a safe atmosphere in P.E. where everyone's best effort is all I ask for.  Students learn to play hard, but play fair.  We stress sportsmanship and teamwork in every activity we do. I believe in developing my students physically, cognitively and socially.
